DIY skirt and headband
Forever 21 top 

Went for a walk in the forest after an entire day of on and off rain. I made this skirt/ headband combo out of a maxi skirt that I found thrifting; it was WAY too big so I chopped and sewed and chopped some more ... et voila, here is the result! It feels particularly Pocahontas-like to me, hence the title of the post. I normally never wear hippy-ish things like this, but I thought I would switch things up and embrace my inner forest dwelling soul (???) 

p.s. I know I'm not wearing very much jewelry these days - I have some PERFECT rings that would have gone with this outfit but forgot to slip em on as I rushed out the door :( 

p.s.s. Stay tuned for a post involving my DIY scalloped shorts, I assure you that they are pretty darn cute
